Beyond Retro is a very popular European retail brand that specializes in the consumer sale of vintage or “retro” clothing and accessories. We’ve worked for years with this company – most recently to boost site traffic through targeted search engine marketing and search optimization, and to help them identify key areas for design improvement with our monthly Strategic Internet Marketing Report (SIMR).
Based on our SIMR results, Beyond Retro wanted a new layout for its existing blog that would fit seamlessly into their newly redesigned website. Beyond Retro’s vintage-clothing knowledge is vast, and the new blog layout needed to showcase this breadth of expertise in new and engaging ways.
The Result
One of silenceIT’s most challenging tasks was to create an interlinked, multilingual blog to accommodate both the Sweden and UK store locations. Beyond Retro wanted a completely new layout that resembled what one might find in any fashion magazine. Appearance and structure were paramount concerns. silenceIT built on standard magazine layout and design to create an easy-to-use navigation system that also highlights Beyond Retro’s individual blog categories and posts. This includes a rotational display of featured articles acting as the blog’s home page focal point.
The Beyond Retro blog also includes links to email gift vouchers, the company Facebook and Twitter pages, as well as to a photo gallery that displays their products as featured in many popular European fashion magazines.
